Bleargh... felt like i've lived thru this week like a mindless soul, slacking the whole while doing nothing. I hate this kind of feeling, when I know there's something to be done, but i have no idea where to start, and I don't really want to plod thru the whole mess of work to look for a starting point. I trusted myself to be able to finish the work I aimed to finish today (and the previous days) tomorrow, and indulged myself in useless activities... It suddenly dawned on me that I have been living without motivation/aim, for most part of the hols, even though I did some stuffs for FYP, i could say i did not feel the drive to do anything.... grr.... *frustrated*
ok let's turn the topic into something more light hearted (and serious, thus the more proper english)... So what's everyone's aim/wish/hope in life? From what I know, Ronald's is to become a very rich and successful man with a chio wife (which guy doesn't?) - (I assume) that's why he's a mugger and at the same time, cheongster, Weilin wishes to travel around the world - she's an air stewardess with SQ now (woohoo!!), Clara's ambition is to grow up soon so nobody can just drag her across the room - this explains why she's at least taking in some food, some CPE guys don't wanna end up being a computer engineer (duh?) and a few the band ppl would want to be wonderful musicians in future (or at least, i noe, Nick is one such person) - so you guys keep practising and get involved in numerous musical stuffs, improve yourselves, etc...
My ambition was to become a comp engineer (shhhhh... ok I know the idea irks some of you), but that is the truth, well, until I realised how difficult the going is. The working world out there seem intimidating to me. I don't like the office politics that goes on in almost every company, and more importantly, my degree sux! Haha, ok, non of you should go on and on about how my degree doesnt suck coz i've decided it does, and there's nothing I can do to redeem it. Precisely, I would probably end up being an un-"comp engineer", either that or, jobless!
How about owning a cafe? I love to bake stuffs, and people (usually) love to eat them (free what). But, starting a cafe needs CAPITAL which translates into $$$. Where to find? *hurls idea towards rubbish chute*
I had another aim in life, and that's to enjoy life like nobody's biz, do whatever I want, including shopping and spending as much as I want. In short, I would love to be a Tai-Tai! *bling bling* Since my dreams of making money above have been dashed, I doubt there's something else I can make a decent living out of and another choice then was to go get a rich hubby, right? And so I drew up this hypothesis that there can be 2 kinds of rich men (in spore at least) - 1) Daddy-Made-rich guys 2) Self-Made-Rich guys. But according to mum, "...rich guys make bad boyfriends, poor ones better!". Thus, I came to the conclusion that I shall get a guy who's un-rich (how to define poor?), but is also smart enuff to bring home lotsa bread!
Armed with Mama's theory fused with my own, I tot found this guy who fitted the bill (name omitted for privacy sake, but most of u wld noe haha)! He's un-rich and smart (or so everyone but me thinks)! What more, he's short, un-good-looking, and totally uncouth... *sniggers... alrite, I promise I will send him this link* This seem right, right? Mama would love him coz he's un-rich, and his looks are ermm, not at all that of a typical yandao, so no babes swarming around him, rite? So what went wrong? I guess it didn't occur to me until later (ok, im retarded and slow) that he doesn't have the kind of love for music I have (oredi mine isnt DAT great btw), except for the mambo stuffs coming from Zouk every Wed (Bet you can sing out 99% of the songs from Mambo Greatest Hits, TOTALLY OUT OF PITCH) *hee sorry I cant help*. Also, he loved his books and Mambo way too much, he virtually vanished into thin air every Wed and pre-exam period. Bleargh, ok, it all summed up to totally different lifestyles and it ended on a peaceful note. From then on, nothing really worth mentioning came along.
Haha... ok.. so much for the dark clouds that I've made up to be hanging over me... according to palmistry (by dear Steph Chu =p ), I have a huge capacity to love and be loved (that's what's most important to her), don't keep many promises I made to myself and have alot of LT goals.... Now now, the point here is, she also said that I shall have a successful career. Well, it seem to me it's not that possible this moment in time haha... But hey, who noes! mabbe my luck would suddenly turn for the better? ok, den, I'm supposed to go through a few relationships this lifetime and marriage is on the card... oh but wait, if i've only been attached once, does that mean that there shall be a influx of boyfriends every few days, then suddenly marriage out of the blue? *shudders*... den *throw away the thought* CREEPY!!! Muahahahaha...
The other nite, she did some tarot reading for me (heee, no, she's not some witch... yet), and it turned out worse then the palmistry! My readings forbade me from travelling *WTH*, in case some disaster befall upon me. And, I'm on my way to being conned by someone at work. Since I don't work, I would assume that it meant someone from school! *scans around* And what more, a baby's on the way! Combine it with the palmistry above and *shudders thrice*
Hee.... hmmm ok, after everything, she told me not to take all these too seriously.... *ehh, with these direful readings, i cant feel worse*. Ok, so this is the few hours before school actually starts (it has already), and I resolute to live a more fulfilling life, and stop wasting time. After witnessing what the tsunami has done to parts of Asia, it seem to me we don't really have that much time in our hands, and it's up to us to make full use of it, do things we like, make people around us (including my FYP prof) happy, and engage in meaningful activities, instead of slacking *shakes head*....guilty, very guilty...
And thus, I shall start doing my FYP! Hello, Sem 2, 2004/05!!!
Oppss... b4 i end, so sorry the idea about loading a truck full of photos here din (or haven) take off and ended up into a load of words... I made an ugly mess of the whole thing and deem it unsafe for viewing at the moment hee.... stay tuned! In the meantime, here's ONE picture, to show how cool it's been for me, to be working in 'candlelight'!
